In Memory of Doug Parker: Support for His Family
Donation protected
Douglas Parker was my oldest friend. We grew up together, we've been friends since we were in diapers.
Douglas grew up to be a truly wonderful man. He is so loved and has been such a blessing in so many of our lives.
I remember when Doug met Hannah, how their relationship blossomed while they were at App. I remember how ecstatic and proud he was to tell us that he was going to get to marry her.
And then they grew together into a loving couple, in lock step with each other. They were always laughing!! And then their son, Bo!!! Doug was so so so proud to be a dad, and loved Bo so much.
I could fill a bookshelf of volumes about my dear friend. But frankly, cannot bear to pair his name with the past tense any more than I already have in this post.
Doug passed unexpectedly Wednesday evening.
I have no words for the grief in my heart for Hannah and for their son Bo.
Unexpected expenses are the last thing that she should be thinking about at this time. Can you help us lighten the load for her?
Their church is raising money for the family to help cover funeral costs, and you can contribute there if you'd like! (Details below.)
But if mailing a check is too much of a barrier for you, I'd like to offer another way to support the family.
Hannah is the beneficiary of this fundraiser. Thanks for your support. Please keep all of them in your thoughts and prayers.
The service is on Tuesday at Sovereign Grace Presbyterian in Charlotte. Receiving folks at 1pm, service at 2pm.
Much love,
Jenna
