Dear Family & Friends,
I am devastated to inform everyone of the passing of my brother, Doo Y. Kim (45), on February 10, 2021 at approximately 6:00 AM. Doo was in the ICU trying to recover from a grueling 12-hour Whipple procedure to try and beat a sudden diagnosis of bile duct cancer. He fought day and night for a week straight but God had different plans. We are all still in shock at this moment. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
Doo was an amazing and beloved father, son, brother, and friend to all those he knew. His smile always lit up a room and was willing to help out when he could. His athletic skills made people gasp in awe. Okay, maybe that was 20 years ago or so. :) He was a remarkable person that needs no stories on his impact in people's lives. As his younger brother, the only thing I could do was follow in his footsteps and look up as a proud brother.
We all know Doo did everything for his family and family was everything to him. I am setting up this fund to try and help out with the costs during hospitalization and for funeral costs. It will be an attempt to help his family transition into a new reality I cannot even imagine. It will also try and help fund his daughter's college tuition costs for the future.
For those of you that want to inquire about additional information on Doo, please feel free to reach out to me through this platform, social media, or contact me directly.
