On June 21, 2025, the Cowgill family experienced a profound and unexpected loss. Donna Renee Cowgill passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning following a brief but serious illness. A syncopal episode left her brain and body without oxygen for too long to recover.

Renee was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She was thoughtful, creative, deeply loving, and known for her quiet strength. Her absence is felt deeply by those who knew her best.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years and partner of 44, Ralph David Cowgill, of Princeton; her daughter, Carolyn Elise Cowgill, of Morgantown; her brothers Richard E. Pauley Jr. of Clearwater, FL, Joshua Pauley and Jeffrey Pauley of Palm Springs, CA; and her nephew, Marshall Pauley, of Clearwater, FL.

In the wake of her passing, Carolyn has made the difficult decision to leave her job and return home to Princeton to care for her father, who lives with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and now requires daily support. She is also managing travel between Morgantown and Princeton to handle logistics related to her own home and responsibilities.

This fundraiser has been created to support Carolyn and David as they move through this period of grief, transition, and caregiving.
