Dominic James Murray, passed away on April 28, 2026, in Wasilla, Alaska, at the age of 21. He lived a life marked by kindness, curiosity, and a deep love for the people and places that shaped him.

He was the kind of young man who approached life with determination and humility, and those who knew him appreciated his dependable nature and the quiet strength he carried with him. He was adventurous, thoughtful, and intelligent, qualities that were evident in the way he lived, the way he treated others, and the way he embraced the world around him.

Family meant everything to Dominic, and he was surrounded by many who loved him deeply. He is survived by his fiancée, Cierra Gudmundson; Mother, Jackie Bay; his brother, William Murray III; his Grandfather, Dave Bay; his Great-Grandmother, Muriel Glisan; his Aunt and Uncle, Jamie and Clay Randolph, and their children Kaylee and Peyton; his Uncle, Jason Bay, and his son Kyle; his Uncle, Joe Bay, and his children Karlee and Tyson; his brother, Dylon Bay, his fiancée Tyanda, and their children Ilyona and Adalyn; as well as numerous other cousins and family members who will carry his memory forward. He was also preceded in death by his Great-Grandfather, Terry Glisan, and his Grandmother, Sally Bay, both of whom held a special place in his heart.

Dominic especially cherished the simple, meaningful moments shared with loved ones. He loved family bonfires, where laughter and stories could stretch late into the evening. He was an avid dirt biker, finding joy in the thrill and freedom of the ride. He also loved fishing, especially when he could share that time with his family. Camping brought him peace and connection, and he valued any opportunity to be outdoors surrounded by the beauty of Alaska.

One of Dominic’s favorite sights was the northern lights, and he often spoke of them with wonder and affection. He would say, “Grandma Sally was watching over us and making it a beautiful night,” a sentiment that reflected both his tenderness and his enduring bond with those he had lost. His words revealed the depth of his heart and the way he found comfort in nature, memory, and family.

Dominic was known for being kind to others, and that kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He had a gentle spirit that could brighten a room, and his presence brought comfort, laughter, and warmth. In his short life, he touched many lives in ways that will not be forgotten.

As Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, “To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” By that measure, Dom succeeded in the lives he touched through his love, his loyalty, and his generous spirit. Though his time here was far too brief, his memory will remain a treasured part of the hearts of his family and friends forever.
