In Memory of Dolores Herrera -Unexpected Loss

On behalf of the Herrera family, it is with great sadness to announce the loss of my Tia Lola, many also knew her as Auntie Dolores. On June 18th she was in a car accident where she took the majority of the impact causing her to be admitted to the hospital. While still admitted on June 26, 2023, she went into surgery and little did we know nor expect that so many complications would arise especially that she take her last breath on earth that day and her first in heaven. We did not anticipate that God would call our beloved Dolores home that day and the family is still processing the thought of life without her. We seek comfort knowing she is in the arms of our loving Jesus and she is no longer in pain and fully healed in heaven.

She was such a light to so many and in so many ways. She loved to give gifts no matter if you were a child or grown and would put so much thought into her gifts. She had such a love for all the babies aka "Changitos" and their toes. She emulated the gift of love that was inspiring. Loving the unlovable when others wouldn't. Setting the example of what real GRACE looked like. Her children and grandchildren were loved so much by her and they knew it. Most importantly she loved her husband well, as no other could ever imagine.

The family was not prepared for the impact of the financial costs and all contributions will solely assist in the cost of funeral services and cremation. So if you ever had the honor of being loved by her any contribution would be a blessing to us in this time of grievance. Prayers over my Uncle Frank as he has had her by his side for over 55 years.
