Dear friends and family....
The world has lost an incredible human on June 25, 2021.
Djoko Grbic has lost his battle with Covid after spending over 5 weeks in the hospital. He has fought with all his might, but unfortunately the disease has gotten the best of him. He never gave up and he kept holding on to hope until his very last breath.
Djoko was a Director for the NorthEast Bosnian railroad system before former Yugoslavia was ravaged by a civil war. During the war he fought extremely hard to protect his family from harm. His parents were murdered in a brutal fashion, and Djoko has narrowly escaped death on numerous occasions. His entire focus in life was to make sure that his family is safe and well cared for.
Djoko managed to bring his wife and three children to Orlando, Fl in 1997 with only $200 in his pocket and a bag of clothes. Despite being without a support system, not knowing the way of life in his new country, not speaking the language, he managed to not just succeed - he thrived.
Djoko never gave up on anything he set his sights on - he managed to pass his Master Electrician exam and start an electrical contracting company. His work ethic and care for others is unparalleled....
He wants to be remembered as the "good guy" as the one with compassion, love, and understanding for others. He wants to know that he has left a positive impact on this world... and that he has made it a better place.
Thank you so much for helping us fund his final goodbye costs.
Thank you for helping his family give him a send off that he deserves.
Let's all remember Djoko as a shining star that has touched many people's hearts in a positive way.
Sincere thanks from family Grbic
