In Memory of Dimitri Contributions

Dimitri passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on September 08 2025 at the age of 17. Dimitri was a kind, caring, curious and intelligent boy with many friends and family that loved him very much and will miss him.

Dimitri was born February 28, 2008, in Troy, Michigan to Steve Marangos and April McGuire. He was a senior at Lapeer Community Schools and was adored by classmates and staff. Dimitri loved fishing, video gaming, airplanes and was quite a history buff. He enjoyed riding his bike, camping and simply enjoying time outdoors in nature. Dimitri also enjoyed working on his car. Dimitri was loved by everyone who knew him and will be so very missed.

Dimitri is survived by his parents: April (Jayson) McGuire of Lapeer and Steve (Bianca) Marangos of Naperville, IL; siblings: Elliana Marangos, Iris McGuire, Lorenzo Marangos and Isabella Marangos; aunts & uncles: Gina & Yianni Avramidis (& Achilleas) Roy Kubica, Jarrod Lancing, Ashley & Charles Shepherd and Jennifer & John Gusumano; grandparents: Rick & Cindy McGuire of Marysville and Laurie & Larry Patlewicz of Lapeer. Dimitri is also survived by many cousins, extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Anthony Kubica and Dimitrios & Vassilliki Marangos; great grandparents: Ardana Chapman and Elaine Chapman Walker.

Visitation will be held from 4-8PM Friday, September 12, 2025, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Dimitri’s funeral will be at 11:00AM Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Muir Brothers. His family will receive friends from 10-11AM the morning of the service.
