Hi, my name is Dakota, and I’m fundraising for my mom, Jackie.

On December 16, 2022, my brother, Devyne, was murdered. Our entire world was shattered. My mom faced grief so deep it could have destroyed her completely — but instead, she found a way to transform her pain into healing.

Through energy healing and grief mentoring, my mom discovered gifts that helped her survive the unimaginable. She has spent the past two years pouring her heart into a book called From Murder to Messages — a deeply personal story about grief, resilience, spiritual awakening, and the truth that love never dies.

This isn’t just a book for her. It’s her mission. She believes her story can give comfort and hope to others who are grieving, struggling with trauma, or searching for light in dark places.

Some people might ask, “Why not just self-publish online?” My mom has thought about that, but she wants this book created professionally and with integrity — with real editing, design, and publishing support, not shortcuts. She has support from a trusted friend who is guiding her through the publishing process, so that From Murder to Messages has the best chance to reach the people who need it most.

Publishing costs are about $4,000 total, but my mom is committed to handling most of that through a payment plan. What she needs help with right now is the $1,100 deposit to get the process started. Because of processing fees, we’ve set the goal at $1,200 to make sure she has the full deposit amount available.
