Please help the Green Elementary Community as we come together to support one of our kindergarten students, Amon Spauldings. Amon lost his big brother in a car accident on Monday night. De'Veonte was 19 years old. He was a loving big brother and helped care for Amon. Amon talked about his brother often at school. He called him Bookie.
When I asked his mom to tell me more about De'Veonte, she shared this: De'Veonte was such a special person. His spirit will always be with us. De'Veonte was like having a little piece of heaven on earth. He had a special way, reaching your heart with love and laughter. He touched so many people. He was very respectful, helpful, loving and funny. He was the person anyone could talk to. He always wanted to better himself. He was smart and had goals to be a business man, to run his own business. His hobbies were working on cars, playing basketball and working out. He was always around his family and friends.
Our hearts go out to De'Veonte's family; his mom Annesha, his little brother Amon, and his grandmother Sistonya.
Donations will help De'Veonte's family cover the cost of funeral expenses. There is no way for us to ease the pain of this loss, but as you are able, please help us ensure that at this difficult time they can focus on De'Veonte's memory and caring for one another.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity
