We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support surrounding the life of Desmond. So many have asked how they might honor him, and this space has been created for those who wish to do so in a meaningful and personal way.

This fund is not born out of need, but out of community which reflects the relationships Desmond built, the lives he touched, and the joy, and loyalty he carried with him. Any contribution made here is a gesture of remembrance and celebration of a life well lived. Gifts will directly assist expenses and his children.

Our family extends heartfelt thanks to his dear friends, neighbors and the Chicago Public Schools community for embracing Desmond and helping make Illinois his home away from home. Your care, fellowship, and presence meant more to him and to us, than words can express.
