Hello Everyone,

I am setting this fundraiser up in loving memory of my brother Derek Ray Bish who unexpectedly passed away Thursday July 24, 2025. All donations will be for his loving wife Kelsey to help during this trying time with all the unexpected expenses she now has to face.

For those of you who do not know, my brother came into this world fighting with a rare heart condition, and while this condition would stop many from achieving greatness, he never let it stop him. He was an amazing man who spent his life dedicated to helping his community, beginning as a volunteer with the Funkstown Fire Department. He later moved to Maugansville FD where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant before moving on to serve as a Corporation EMT. As an EMT he worked at multiple stations throughout Washington County before continuing on in his career to become a ECS Shift Supervisor with the Washington Country 911 Communications Center. In addition to those achievements, he graduated in 2023 with the very first Paramedic class to do so from the newly built Washington County Public Safety Training Center. To say he spent his life dedicated to his community is an understatement, and this is not only a great loss for our family, but for the Washington County community as well.
