**UPDATE: ALL YOUR SUPPORT HAS BEEN SO GREATLY APPRECIATED BY THE FAMILY. THE CAMPAIGN HAS ENDED. PLEASE CONTACT THE CHARRETTE FAMILY DIRECTLY IF YOU WISH TO MAKE FURTHER DONATIONS**
On 7/17/18, Derek Charrette was called home to be with Jesus after a tragic swimming accident. Our hearts are heavy. At Derek's father's request, I am beginning this fundraiser.
Derek loved baseball. His sister, Jasmine, was on the same team as him. He would watch other games after his own was over that his older brother Damien would play. I was blessed to have him on my T-ball team this year. He was a precious quiet boy, yet you always new he was listening to what was being said. I will treasure the games we had.
In the words of his father, "Maybe Heaven needed a left handed power hitter up there."
No parent should ever have to be faced with expenses such as the Charrette Family will have. Please come together with us in the true sense of the word "team" and give anything you are able to erase any stress of a financial burden from the family as they prepare to honor their angel, Derek. Even the smallest amount is meaningful. All of the money raised will go to the family to help ease their worries.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
RIP Derek Charrette
