My name is Marilyn Jones AKA Her Chinaa Doll, the sister of Dametria McDile. My sister lost her life due to medical negligence while being incarcerated at the St. Louis City Justice Center. Her crys for help were ignored for days! No one cared! No one listened! Her last phone conversation with our aunt occured moments before her death. She was voicing then that she had chest pain.
She leaves behind six beautiful children that needed her. I needed her, our family needed her.
Mental health shouldn't have been a death sentence. She didn't deserve this, no one deserves this. The St. Louis City Justice Center repeatedly refused the help she needed. Dametria deserves justice.
Dametria didn't have any life insurance, so with heavy hearts, we're asking for help to cover:
- Headstone cost ($3,000 estimated), Thank you for helping my wish (to be able to lay her to rest with our mother) to come true. Now that the funeral is over the real work has just begun on getting Meechie the justice she deserves.
- Legal fees, so that we can get justice for Dametria McDile my sister, a family member, a mother, a friend, a human being.
- Support will also help to provide, grief counseling ( is in progress for me and her oldest son currently, with hopes of getting her other children counseling in the future (many are too young to understand and process currently)), care, and stability for me and my sister’s six children while we grieve and heal together.
Please Help us get Justice for my sister, Dametria McDile. The fight isn't over until the people responsible for Meechie's death are held accountable and prosecuted.
Thank you for any donation or sharing of this message it is truly and greatly appreciated. Thank you for standing with us during this difficult time.
