In Memory of Deanna, Our Community Sparkler

Hi fam, Mom/Deanna White, Community Sparkler (that's the occupation we put on her death certificate), died June 25 after a brief and fierce relationship with cancer.

Many of you have asked how you can help. While I feel reluctant to play the "my-mom-just-died-will-you-help-me-move-the-giant-pile-of-mulch-in-my-driveway card," the truth is that having a slush fund to help cover the astonishing myriad of costs that arise when someone dies unexpectedly would be very helpful.

Also, if you know mom at all, you know how enthusiastically she solicited and then distributed donations of every kind. In that spirit, we are humbly accepting the assistance so many of you have indicated you'd like to share.
