In Memory of Deacon: Support for Leah and Tom

Hello! My name is Susan Gayheart Van Ness and it is with great sadness that I am reaching out to you for support for my precious friend and college sorority sister, Leah Griffith Goulter. Leah’s youngest son, Deacon, suddenly passed away in his sleep Thursday, November 14, 2024. The coroner believes it was a seizure. Deacon attended Centerburg Schools. Deacon was Tom and Leah’s life. They thought they would be caring for him the rest of his life, but the Lord took him home first. Deacon’s funeral will be held in Sunbury, OH at Snyder Funeral Home on Friday, November 22 at 10 a.m. The calling hours will be at the same location on Thursday from 5-7 p.m.

Most parents do not plan to have to bury their child. Unfortunately, Leah and Tom did not have any insurance to pay for Deacon’s burial. The cost of the funeral is $12,500 and they need to raise $11,000. Please pray about how you may support Tom and Leah during this difficult time.
