In Memory of David “Son” Dam
Donation protected
Hi I’m Kim, Son’s younger sister and I am raising funds to help support my niece Khanh Thy and sister in law Huong during this devastating time. Expenses associated with the lost of my brother can be quite overwhelming. That's why we are kindly asking for your help. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference.
Thank you.
David "Son" Dam born November 15, 1980 - October 8th, 2023.
It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of David "Son" Dam, a beloved army veteran, who departed this world unexpectedly. Born on November 15, 1980, in Vùng Tau, Vietnam, David's early years were marked by a journey of hope and resilience, immigrating to the United States at the age of one. Portland, Oregon, became his home.
David's dedication to his adopted country was unwavering. He proudly served in the United States Army, embodying honor, courage, and commitment throughout his military tenure.
Beyond his service, David was a devoted husband to his wife, Huong, and a doting father to their daughter, Khanh Thy. They were the center of his world.
Son was preceded in death by his father Nam Van Dam, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving mother, Que Bui, and his siblings, Long, Hai, Duc, Phuc, and Kim. And his brother-in-law, Sidney.
In this difficult time, we come together to support Son’s family. Donations are kindly requested to assist with funeral services, medical expenses, and to provide a foundation for Huong and Khanh Thy as they embark on this new chapter.
Details for the memorial service will be shared at a later date. We gather not only to say goodbye to a cherished son, husband, father, brother, and friend, but to celebrate his life and to honor the person we once all knew.
