In Memory of David Morales: Funeral Fund

Hi everyone, my name is Dalia Maya and it is with great sadness that I am having to write this.. I am organizing this GoFundMe page to help raise money to cover funeral expenses for my younger cousin, David Morales.

David Morales, 26, passed away in a tragic car accident along with his girlfriend in cover photo, Kimberly Lopez Matias, 20, this past Thursday night. My other cousin, David's youngest brother, 15, was also in the vehicle at the time of the incident and so was Kimberly's younger brother, 15. Both have suffered critical injuries and are currently hospitalized. God willing, with our prayers, they will both recover.

David was a very caring soul. His infectious smile and most loving moments were reserved for those closest to him. Anyone who knew him knows he was a very respectful, noble, fun-spirited person. His laugh wasn't the one you would catch first but almost always the second, because it wasn't annoying, it was always just right, unless he was purposely mocking you (always in playful fun). As the oldest sibling in his household he definitely embodied the personality that comes with that. He always supported his mom (in above photo), his family, his friends and any good, kind-hearted person he would come across. He was a hard-working individual. He always carried a calm demeanor but when it was time to have fun, he was for sure the life of the party and you always knew it was going to be better just cause he was around. To me, he's always going to be my little cousin. That little boy dancing in my childhood home to "If I was a rich girl - Gwen Stefani" in a 57 sec video I happened to capture when we were just kids (One of my ultime favorites- linked below!). Someone I had hoped to see achieve his goals, dreams, and witness grow old. David, we are missing you immensely. We love you. You will forever live in our hearts and in our memories, I promise.

We plan, but God plans. And God is the best of planners.

Hola a todos, mi nombre es Dalia Maya y con gran tristeza les escribo esto. Estoy creando esta página de GoFundMe para recaudar fondos para cubrir los gastos funerarios de mi primo menor, David Morales.

David Morales, de 26 años, falleció en un trágico accidente automovilístico junto con su novia (en la foto de portada), Kimberly López Matías, de 20 años, el pasado jueves por la noche. Mi otro primo, el hermano menor de David, de 15 años, también estaba en el vehículo en el momento del incidente, al igual que el hermano menor de Kimberly, de 15 años. Ambos sufrieron heridas graves y se encuentran hospitalizados. Si Dios quiere, con nuestras oraciones, ambos se recuperarán.

David era un muchacho muy cariñoso. Su sonrisa contagiosa y sus momentos más cariñosos estaban reservados para sus seres queridos. Cualquiera que lo conociera sabía que era una persona muy respetuosa, noble y divertida. Su risa no era la que captabas primero, sino casi siempre la segunda, porque no era molesta, siempre era la correcta, a menos que se burlara a propósito (siempre con humor). Como el hermano mayor de la casa, sin duda encarnaba esa personalidad. Siempre apoyaba a su madre, a su familia, a sus amigos y a cualquier persona buena y bondadosa con la que se cruzara. Era muy trabajador. Siempre mantenía una actitud tranquila, pero cuando llegaba la hora de divertirse, era sin duda el alma de la fiesta, y siempre sabías que todo iría mejor solo por su presencia. Para mí, siempre será mi primo pequeño. Ese niño bailando en casa de mi infancia al ritmo de "If I was a rich girl - Gwen Stefani" en un video de 57 segundos que grabé cuando éramos niños (¡Uno de mis favoritos!). Alguien a quien esperaba ver alcanzar sus metas, sueños y ver crecer. David, te extrañamos muchísimo. Te queremos muchísimo. Vivirás por siempre en nuestros corazones y recuerdos, te lo prometo.

Nosotros planeamos, pero Dios planea. Y Dios es el mejor de los planificadores.
