We are heartbroken to share that David, only 21 years old, passed away by suicide. His family has chosen to share this openly, in the hope that someone else struggling might be reminded to reach out and seek help.

David was the funniest person you could ever meet, with a quick wit and a kind heart. He was whip smart, thoughtful, and generous to a fault—always helping others without ever expecting recognition. He had a beautiful way of expressing love and gratitude, often writing long, heartfelt messages to the people he cared about.

He worked with the City of Crockett, where his coworkers describe him as a dedicated, hardworking young man. Though he had not been there long, his impact was immediate, and his colleagues are deeply mourning his loss.

David struggled with ongoing health issues that doctors were unable to diagnose despite his repeated attempts to find answers. The pain became unbearable, and tragically, he felt he could no longer go on.

Because David had not been with the City long enough, his life insurance benefits do not apply. His family is now left to navigate the financial burden of his passing alongside the immeasurable grief of losing him.
