In Memory of David: Aid for Sara and William

Update: David's funeral will be held on Saturday, August 31st from 11am-1pm at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home. 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016. All are welcome to attend.

Hi I'm Amanda, one of Sara's oldest friends. We met in middle school band, but we didn't become best friends until high school. Even though the miles separate us, we regularly keep in touch.

Sara met David in college and instantly they knew they were meant to be together. They bonded over music, movies, and gaming. David was kind, thoughtful, and quick witted; he had no trouble keeping up with Sara's sense of humor. They loved each other so much that they got married twice! It was hard to keep up in a conversation with them because of all the inside jokes.

Of all the things David enjoyed, he loved spending time with his family the most. He regularly went to the park and King's Island with his son William, teaching him to ride his bike and encouraging him to ride roller coasters again and again. David and Sara went on almost weekly dates, trying everything from escape rooms to new local fare. Every moment was spent loving his family, caring for them the way only David could.

Sadly, on Tuesday August 20th, David took his own life. He leaves behind many beloved family members including his wife Sara and their son 7-year old son William. Nothing can prepare you for the unexpected loss of a spouse. Grief aside, the cost of funerals and other end of life expenses can be taxing on a family. In addition to this, David and Sara were also bearing the burden of medical expenses from David's melanoma diagnosis and ongoing treatment. I hope you will prayerfully consider donating as you are able to this sweet family, helping to alleviate their stress during this difficult time. All donations will go to cover the cost of David's funeral and outstanding medical expenses.
