In memory of Darren Moyer - help David and Sherry

Yesterday we received the worst news: Darren, my son's father took his own life at 36. So many emotions: grief, rage, helplessness, longing, overwhelmed, devastation, confusion . . .

Accepting the fact that you're gone seems an impossible task. You changed my life forever and gave me the best gift of my life: our son. You always did your best to be a good Father and David has so many wonderful memories of your adventures together. You'll never know how much we appreciate you. You'll never know how much we need you.

David is the best boy. Kind. Connected. Engaged. Funny. Hopeful. Smart. Secure. Beloved. I'm writing this here because I can't tell you. I can't reach you. I'll always remind David of how you did everything for him. You loved your son most of all.

There's never a moment that I won't be grateful for you Darren. We love you and will celebrate your life. We miss you. Gosh. We just miss you.

I'm thankful that you can finally be free and that you are at peace. Love you. ❤️

My heart has been broken into a million pieces knowing that Darren - an amazing person who cared deeply and gave of himself to so many people, wasn't able to fully realize his legacy and the impact he had on those around him. If you're reading this, I have no doubt you've spent time in his corner of the ring - cheering, pushing, and praying that he would be able to keep taking each step. 

But we need to carry him now - in memory but even more so through his son David and Sherry. I can't stop crying each time I see what he's left. I know we can't change the past, but please be a part of helping the future.
