بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

On Tuesday the 9th of June 2026, Danyal Hassan returned to his Lord at just 20 years of age.

His passing came as a devastating shock to all who knew and loved him. A life so young and full of promise was taken far too soon, leaving behind a profound sadness that continues to be felt by his family, friends and the wider community. Though his time in this world was short, the impact he had on those around him was immeasurable.

Danyal was a beloved Son, Grandson, Nephew, Brother and Friend. He was known by so many as a genuinely kind soul; someone whose compassion, humility and gentle nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He possessed a quiet warmth that made people feel comfortable in his presence and was always willing to offer support, encouragement and a helping hand to others. Those closest to him will remember his smile, his sincerity and the love he showed to those around him.

The thousands of people who attended Danyal’s funeral and burial serve as a testament to how deeply he was loved and respected. The overwhelming support shown by the community reflected the countless lives he touched and the affection people held for him. His loss has been felt by many, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the blessing of knowing him.

In honour of Danyal and as a means of continuing goodness on his behalf, the NK Foundation and Hope for Mankind will be carrying out a number of charitable projects as Sadaqah Jariyah (a charity that continues to benefit a person after their passing). Our intention is to build a mosque in his name, alongside supporting other initiatives including the construction of water wells, feeding those in need, assisting vulnerable families and sponsoring orphans. Through these projects, we pray that Danyal’s legacy will continue to bring benefit to people for generations to come.

The NK Foundation is built upon the values of compassion, generosity and hope. Through these efforts, we aspire to bring relief to those facing hardship and to honour the memory of a young man whose kindness touched so many lives.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“When a human being dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” — Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim (1631)

We humbly ask everyone to support this cause and donate generously with the intention of helping those less fortunate and creating a lasting legacy for Danyal Hassan. Every contribution, no matter how small, has the potential to become a source of continuous reward for him.
