I am deeply saddened to say that my dad, Dante Serrato has passed away at the age of 54 on February 17, 2025

My dad had taken a trip to Japan with his sisters for a family vacation, where he suffered a stroke and had to be rushed to the hospital. He became unconscious and went into a coma. We waited for him to recover in the ICU but was rushed into surgery where he underwent brain surgery to remove clots that had formed.

A little over a week after his surgery, he stopped breathing, and doctors tried to revive him for an hour, but sadly he didn’t make it through and passed away. My dad passed away the morning of February 17.

My dad was cremated Friday February 21, 2025. 

I slowly told people and my close circle of friends and family about the sad news and every single one reached out with kind thoughts and prayers. I am beyond grateful to have such amazing and great people around me to be my support system and to keep me strong. I kept getting messages and just seeing the words, “we’re here for you, whatever you need,” just filled my heart with hope.

I hate to be put in this position of being vulnerable and asking for help and support, but any help and donations are appreciated.

My dad was kind, funny, strong, hardworking & so loving. And for those who actually met my dad and got to be around him, you guys know how much of a positive and happy energy he is.

He was a family man and loved all of us. He would do anything and everything for his family. He always said his kids were his life and his love for us was unwavering. I love my dad so much and I will miss him

This devastating news will always leave a hole in mine and my family’s heart but hopefully in time, it will heal. His memories will live on in us and we will cherish the amazing time we had with my dad. Love you Dad !
