Fundraising to support Darren’s future in memory of his wonderful father Danny Law
All who knew Danny have a strong understanding of the value of life, friendship and community. Danny demonstrated this value daily; giving you a candy bar he knew you liked unsolicited, an instant message just to say hi and that he was thinking of you, a warm smile when he saw you, and many other everyday kind gestures. A true example we all strive to follow.
Daniel "Seng-Pun" Law was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on June 6th, 1970. He immigrated to the United States with his parents, Allen and Grace, and his younger brother, Donald, when he was seven years old. He is survived by his only son, Darren, his uncle, Tiong Poo, aunts, Lesley, Sylvia, Madeline and Adele, and several cousins including Wai Peng, who grew up with him and was more of a big sister. Danny was also the beloved husband of the late Lisa Law.
Danny was so deeply in love with Lisa. Taken far too young from this world and so early in their marriage and motherhood. Darren, barely one year old at the time, became his whole life. Danny’s devotion as a father was evident in their relationship. They became more than father/son; they became best friends.
Darren and Danny shared a love for adventure, often taking trips and attending bike weeks. He lovingly referred to Darren as “his little monster.” Together they shared laughs, tears, arguments, hugs, and every emotion in between. A bond so strong that Danny’s last act in his life was to push Darren out of danger, saving his life.
Danny is a hero.
Below is a photo taken at the hospital just prior to Danny passing. It captures the sun setting so beautifully over his family.
