إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

On Saturday 25th April 2026, our older brother Daniel returned to our Creator at 32 years old, following a tragic car accident, completing the journey every soul is destined to take. He was a Son, Husband, Brother, Grandson, Nephew, Uncle and Friend. Daniel was a beacon of light; he was the kind of soul who could illuminate any room he entered and place a smile on any face. He was funny, charming, beautifully outgoing and most importantly, humble.

He was selfless in the truest sense, the kind of person you could call at any hour, for any reason and he would come without hesitation. His absence is felt deeply by our family, his circle of friends and the wider community.

Daniel’s heart was open, generous and always inclined towards giving. Therefore, in his memory, and on his behalf, we have chosen to donate to The NK Foundation - thenkfoundation.co.uk

Through this foundation, we will be donating to various appeals and In Sha Allah, building a masjid in his name. This is offered as Sadqah Jariyah, a charity that continues to flow like a river of light, reaching him in the barzakh.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadqah Jariyah, knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)." - Sahih Muslim 1631

We ask everyone to donate generously - May every act of charity done in his name be a lantern for his ruh in the Hereafter. Please also recite Al Fatiha as a gift for Daniel’s ruh.

We also request dua’s for our cousin Haseeb, who also sustained severe injuries in the accident but is currently in a stable condition. May Allah grant him kulli shifaa.
