Today, as we gather to honor and remember my beloved sister Danica, I find myself struggling to put into words the depth of love and loss I feel. It's hard to accept that she’s no longer with us, and the world feels quieter without her. But I know that the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the joy she brought into our lives will never fade.

Danica was more than family; she was my confidant, my support, and my friend. From childhood to adulthood, we shared so many moments—some full of laughter, some full of tears, but always filled with love. She had a way of lighting up any room, making everyone feel welcome, valued, and seen. Her smile was contagious, and her kindness boundless. She had a heart of gold, always putting others before herself and showing what it truly meant to be selfless and loving.

She taught me so much, even without meaning to. Whether it was the way she faced challenges with grace or how she could always find the humor in any situation, she showed me what strength and resilience look like. She was one of the most compassionate people I've ever known—whether she was offering a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on, or words of comfort when they were most needed.

I will always remember the little things—the way she laughed, the way her eyes sparkled when she was excited, and the way she made everyone around her feel like they mattered. Her presence was a gift, and even though she’s no longer physically with us, her spirit will always live on in our hearts.

To my sister, I want to say thank you. Thank you for the love, the lessons, and the memories we shared. Thank you for being a constant source of joy, strength, and light in my life. I will carry your memory with me every single day. I’ll miss you more than words can express, but I take comfort in knowing that your love will stay with me forever.
