In memory of Damian Thompson

Oh Damian Thompson (or DT, as he was known to many)… where do we start with this legend?

DT tragically passed away on a family holiday in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on April 13th 2023.

It was completely unexpected. One day he was playing on the beach with his children, then the next he was in hospital on a ventilator with massive internal bleeding from an undiagnosed health condition.

Doctors tried for two weeks to save his life, but ultimately they weren't able to save him.

He leaves behind two beautiful children and an incredible wife (and full time mom), Kiersten. The entire family is in complete shock at their father / husband being taken from them so soon, and so unexpectedly.

Anyone who met Damian would never forget him - full of personality, wit, ideas, and advice, his presence was felt in every room he walked into (both real and online!)

He was truly one of a kind. He will be deeply missed by many everyone, especially his family.

We have set up this GoFundMe on Kiersten's behalf to help her pay the medical bills from Damian’s two week hospital stay in intensive care with multiple operations (over $25k), the legal costs from settling his affairs ($10k), and help support the children while Kiersten gets back on her feet and re-enters the job market to provide for her family. The debts are in her name, so it's a scary time for the entire family.

It’s a long road ahead for them as they try navigate a life without Damian. Every little bit helps and will be so greatly appreciated.

DT may be gone, but his legacy lives on in our memories, with his widow, and in his children - please support them through this difficult time with whatever amount you can xx
