In Loving Memory of Curtis Scott Kelso

On October 31, 2025 we lost a very important part of our family. A beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend Curtis Scott Kelso passed away after a courageous battle with colon cancer. He was diagnosed in May of 2024, and from that moment on, he faced every challenge with incredible strength, grace, faith and love. He was such a fighter.

Curtis was truly one of a kind — a kind-hearted man who found joy in the simple things and purpose in helping others. He was the kind of man who would drop everything to fix something that was broken, lend a helping hand, be a listening ear if someone just needed to talk or he'd share a laugh to lift someone’s spirits. A natural handyman and a lover of nature, Curtis found peace in the outdoors — especially when fishing or rock hunting with his beautiful wife, Candy, of 40 years. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.

Curtis was also an amazing father to five children — Braxton, Dakota, Jett, Destiny, and Blade — who will forever cherish his warmth, humor, and unwavering love. He adored his family, he had so much love and faith in God and our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, loved eating good food, and found happiness in making every moment meaningful.

Throughout his battle, his wife Candy stood by his side as his full-time caregiver, showing unconditional love and devotion until his final day. Now, as the family faces the heavy weight of medical bills, funeral costs, and the loss of Curtis’s presence, we’re asking for support to help ease the financial burden and give Candy some peace during this heartbreaking time.

Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward medical expenses, funeral arrangements, and helping Candy as she adjusts to life without her partner of four decades.

Curtis touched the lives of everyone who knew him, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. If you can, please consider donating or sharing this page to help the Kelso family during this incredibly difficult time we would appreciate it so much!

Thank you for your love, kindness, and support.
