In Memory of Crystal Joy Avila: Big Hearted Mama Bear to All

Dear family & friends,

As most of you know, my beautiful Mama made her journey to Heaven on Sunday, September 15th. A day we have regrettably anticipated has now become our worst unexpected nightmare and reality, but you’re free to rest now, Mama. No more struggling and no more hurt; be at peace now with all of our Angels.

If you were blessed to meet my sweet-hearted and goofy Ma, you’d know deep down to your core that she was a fighter who wanted nothing more than to better herself and that she loved her family more than life itself. Unfortunately, her disease took hold, and she is at peace with Jesus now.

My Mom was the most generous person I will ever have the pleasure of knowing on this Earth; she gave it all without question, always. From welcoming people into her home, providing the most epic home-cooked meals or baked treats, the love she poured out freely, and down to the wisdom and advice she offered to everyone who sought out her help. There will not be a day that goes by that she doesn’t cross my mind; the imprint she left in our hearts will be branded in forever.

I don’t know how to ask this of you all, it’s a humbling experience that we find ourselves at the mercy of others during this time to ask for help with her services. She has always been clear with how she would like to be remembered after her passing. I am currently in the process of deciding on a funeral home for a traditional service and cremation. As her daughter, I just want to honor her final wishes.
