In Memory of Craig McGuire

Craig McGuire passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 9. He was only 56 years old. Craig was a staunch fan of The Cars since he was 14 years old, and was the owner of what may well be the world’s most extensive collection of Cars memorabilia. It was among his greatest joys to interact with band members and fans, and to share his love of The Cars with anyone and everyone.

He was kind and thoughtful, caring and funny. He was sensitive to people’s feelings and encouraging to those who were down. Craig had so much love to share, and he lavished it on his mother and his fur babies. It is for them that we are raising money.

Craig's mom, Brigitte, is over 90 years old. Craig lived with her in her house and was devoted to her full-time care: cooking for her, keeping up the home, and overseeing her medical needs. I know it was his wish for her to continue living there as long as possible.

Craig was also a huge lover of cats. At last count, he had eight! They, too, relied on him for their daily needs.

My hope is that we, as friends of Craig and as fellow Cars fans, can contribute something to help the family with these continuing expenses. Please consider giving a financial gift as a token of your affection for one of our own. ~ Donna J. Neale
