In memory of Corey Bilger
Donation protected
Hello, I am reaching out to you for support in fundraising for Corey Bilger’s family.
Corey's story is one of love, dedication, and heartbreaking loss. Born on March 17, 1990, in Douglas, Wyoming, Corey was a beloved son, partner, and father. For years, Corey poured his heart and soul into his work at the Quaker Oats Company in Columbia. Corey's greatest joy came from spending time with his daughters and their mother Kelsey. Whether they were cooking together, playing video games, or simply enjoying each other's company, Corey cherished every moment spent with his girls.
Corey was tragically and abruptly taken from his family on Thursday, February 1st. What started as any other normal day, will now be the day that changed their lives forever. After getting home from work, Corey and Kelsey decided to get pizza for the family for dinner. On his way to get the pizza, Corey wanted to stop and put gas in Kelsey’s car for her. While pumping gas and talking on the phone, a man pulled up next to Corey and started yelling at him. Kelsey could hear the man trying to antagonize Corey from the other end of the phone but didn’t understand what was going on. The last thing she would ever hear Corey say is “Dude, I don’t know you!” And then the phone went dark. A few minutes later Kelsey received a call from a gas station attendant to tell her that Corey had been shot multiple times. Corey was transported to the hospital where he died.
Corey's co-workers, attested to his unwavering dedication and strong work ethic. He was known as a very hard worker, giving his all in everything he did. Corey's love story with Kelsey, his partner since they were 17, was a testament to his commitment to family. Together, they raised two beautiful little girls, Kelly and Courtney, who were the center of Corey's world.
As we come together to honor Corey's memory, let us also support his family during this unimaginably difficult time. Your generosity will help ease the burden of loss and help with medical and service costs, and ensure that Corey's legacy of love and devotion lives on. Thank you for your compassion and kindness.
