Hi, for anyone who doesn't know me, my name is Kennedy, and I am Cordell's little sister.
As you know, it comes with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Cordell. Those of you that knew my brother, often called “Corky” know that he was what’s known as a giver. Always willing to lend a hand to those in need when able, and always happy to do so. He didn't judge others, and was always willing to listen to anyone who needed an ear.
He will be remembered by many, and his name will be spoken by even more. The memories that he is a part of with many of us will not be forgotten. He had a bigger impact than he ever realized. We hope his light continues to live on through his close friends and their young families.
With this tragic passing, we have been faced with the obviously costly expense of funeral services that we feel he rightfully deserves. We aren’t asking for anyone to give what they cannot, instead we are asking for help from those that are able. Even if it’s $5 or $10, every little bit helps.
Funeral services will be held at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Home at 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653 on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 3:00 PM, with an hour of gathering prior. A post-service celebration of life will be held at the Roscommon Senior/Community Center at 510 South St, Roscommon, MI 48653, with snacks and refreshments.
There will be several tributes created in his memory. As of now, a bench on Au Sable River, as well as a donor plaque at the Ogemaw Nature Park.
Thank you for your time and space while we process this situation.
Please feel free to share this link. We greatly appreciate all the love and support we have received! All proceeds will be used to recuperate some of the $6,500.00 (Cremation alone is $3,690.00) spent on expenses.
