In Memory of Cooper: A Community’s Love

Donation protected
Our community is heartbroken by the sudden loss of Cooper, a bright, kind, and deeply loved boy whose presence touched everyone around him. His passing has left an unimaginable void for his family, his friends, his teammates, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Cooper was the kind of kid who made life feel lighter and made you smile the moment he walked in the room. He was quick-witted and funny, with a sense of humor that could brighten even the hardest day. His kindness showed up in a thousand small ways, especially in the way he went out of his way to help the people he cared about. To his friends, he was loyal, steady, and someone they could always count on.
He loved being active and outdoors. Whether he was playing baseball, suiting up for football, or spending time outside with friends in the pool and the park, he poured his whole heart into the things he loved. The world felt better with him in it, and his absence is felt so deeply by everyone who knew him.

As Cooper’s family navigates this heartbreaking loss, we want to ease the financial burden that comes with funeral arrangements, time away from work, grief support, and the many unexpected needs that arise. This fund also gives our community a way to come together to grieve, to show love, and to honor Cooper’s life in a meaningful way. Any funds beyond immediate costs will be used as the family sees fit to support healing for Cooper’s friends, siblings, and community, and to honor his memory in ways that reflect the incredible person he was.
Any contribution — no matter the amount — will make a meaningful difference to a family facing the unthinkable. Please keep Cooper’s family in your thoughts and hearts. Thank you for your compassion, your generosity, and your love.

We are hosting a gathering to honor Coop at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. E., Shakopee, MN, on Monday, December 15, from 4 PM to 6 PM.

Please come, share love, stories, and celebrate Cooper’s bright spirit with us.

Details regarding his life story and celebration of life will be shared in the near future.

Out of respect for the family’s privacy, details surrounding his passing will not be shared publicly at this time. We ask our community to join us in honoring their space, their grief, and their wishes.
This fundraiser is organized by a group of parents whose children were close friends with Cooper. All funds will be given directly to his family.
