Our dearest friends, John and CJ Opdam, recently lost their son Connor on Friday, September 11th 2026, in a tragic accident.

Connor was only 23 years old when he lost his life on Eastport Drive, just under the Burlington Skyway Bridge. He was doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle on a beautiful day.

At that moment, John and CJ’s life changed forever. No parent should have to bury their children. This pain is simply indescribable, and their grief is beyond comprehension.

Connor was a kind, loving, and thoughtful young man. He graduated from Mohawk College, and just obtained his certification as an aviation technician. He had his whole life ahead of him.

Connor, along with his big brother, Chance, are John and CJ’s world. Unfortunately, this tragedy left them unprepared.

As with most 23 year olds, Connor did not have a will or financial preparedness. To help cover the funeral costs and other related expenses, we created this GoFundMe.
