In Memory of Connie: Support Her Loved Ones

My name is Sheena and it is with the greatest sorrow that I am sharing this fundraising effort for the family of my best friend, my person, my soulmate of 25+ years, Connie Matlack. Connie suddenly and unexpectedly passed away Sunday, September 29th. She is leaving behind a 3-year-old daughter, Lydia, who was her whole world, her heart and soul, as well as her fiancé, Rob Collins.

If you are reading this, and you knew Connie, you know that she was one in a million. She was the kindest, most compassionate person. She gave people the freedom to be 100% authentically themselves with no judgments or wavering her love for them. She had the best laugh, and her smile lit up the room and shined brightest when she was with her family. She was such a creative, thoughtful, and overall beautiful human being. If you were lucky enough to have met Connie, you know what I am talking about.

Connie had so much love to give and so much more to teach Lydia and will sadly miss out on the opportunity to continue raising her and watching her grow. Lydia embodies her mother's joy and silliness. Nothing made Connie happier than her time spent being a mom to Lydia, watching her grow and thrive. Rob is now left to raise Lydia on his own while upholding the high standards Connie and he have set for their family. He will undoubtedly do a fantastic job, but I would like to help lighten his burden and support him and Connie's family as they lay his beloved to rest.
