In memory of Cole & in support of Jill

As a long-time neighbor & friend, I have created this fundraiser to help Jill Bryant Puccinelli during an unimaginable time.

Sadly, her youngest son, Cole, took his own life on Thursday Sept 8. The shock and grief are devastating, not only to Jill but to the rest of Cole’s loving family, his wonderful group of friends, and the school & neighborhood he spent his whole life in.

As someone who herself has been lifted up by this community during traumatic times, I am specifically raising money to help Jill cover final expenses, memorial costs, and get expensive grief and trauma therapy.

Our family will always remember Cole’s self-deprecating sense of humor, and how, with a slight grin, he would yell “Skillllzzz!” when he sunk (or missed!) a surprise shot on the ECC 6th grade basketball team, coached by my husband DJ.

If you will be able to attend his family’s tribute to him, feel free to bring your anecdotes, as Jill is planning a colorful, humorous and musical event, hoping for more laughter than tears as stories are shared.

Cole’s life will be celebrated at their family home on Saturday, October 22, with a reception immediately following. Time TBA. All are welcome, And please spread the word with any mutual friends not on Facebook.

All funds will be distributed to Jill directly for the support and expenses above. Funds not used for these purposes will be donated to suicide prevention services and/or a scholarship to a local Japanese language student.
