I have had the privilege of being Clay Taylor’s friend for 30 years and his passing leaves me with a heavy heart and a profound sense of loss. Clay Taylor was a larger-than-life person who truly believed in Kindness as the greatest form of humanity. His life was taken far too soon at age 51 after a courageous battle with aggressive cancer.

Clay lived life to the fullest and deeply loved his family. He was incredibly proud of his daughter, Sarah, and all her accomplishments at school, in the local community as well as on the tennis court. While battling cancer one of his greatest regrets was that he would not be around to give her continued guidance as she grows up.

Clay’s dad grew up in Kentucky and many extended family members still live in the area. Clay was excited that Sarah was considering attending the University of Kentucky, a place deeply connected to their family’s roots. He hoped she would not only receive an education, but also discover where she came from, grow into her independence, and build a life full of opportunity.

His passing has left a deep emotional loss and unexpected financial strain. This fundraiser honors his legacy by helping make that dream possible supporting his daughter’s education and easing the burden during this difficult time.
