We lost our friend Claudiu Tataru on May 26th while he was vacationing in Costa Rica. Those of us who knew "Clau" are still processing this loss. He was a long-time Park City resident, loved by the SOSTC and Deer Valley ski community. People loved being around him—he had this way of making you smile even on tough days.

Anyone who knew Clau knew he lived for the outdoors. He was always planning his next camping trip or talking about some trail he'd discovered in the Utah mountains. That's how we'll remember him—out there doing what he loved.

His family in Romania is dealing with costs they weren't prepared for: medical and repatriation expenses, memorial service costs, and travel for family members who want to be together right now. It's a lot to handle when you're grieving. We've created this fundraiser to help cover these costs and support his family during this difficult time.
