In Memory of Chuck Nadeau

It is with great sadness and a broken heart that I have to share the passing of my husband, Chuck Nadeau on Thursday September 28, 2023. Chuck passed from this Earth after a lengthy and courageous battle with both mental illness and addiction.

The emotional pain we are feeling as we say our goodbyes to Chuck are nothing compared to the mental anguish he fought so hard to overcome for many years.

Each time Chuck spent extended periods of time in a mental health facility, he faced being laid off due to being away. The financial burden fell on Beth many times to carry the household expenses on one income. Chuck also accrued many ambulance bills, and hospital bills not covered by insurance.

Beth is fulfilling his last wishes as best as she can with the financial resources available to her, which are few.

Any funds raised in Chuck's memory will help with memorial expenses, and provide financial relief for his wife, daughter and stepdaughter.

If you are unable to donate, I ask that you take a moment to reflect on the lives lost to mental illness and addiction. Please speak honestly and compassionately about mental illness. Be present and patient with each other's journeys. Approach battles of addiction without judgment. Reflect on the beautiful light inside of each other, even when that light is no longer able to shine. Find joy in music, and dance in the kitchen. Chuck sure did.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 4 – 7 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 11 am.
