In Memory of Christopher Gardella
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I tell you all about the passing of my big brother, Christopher Gardella.
If you ever had the opportunity to meet him, to talk with him, then you would know what kind of guy he was. If you didn't, then let me tell you a bit about him.
My brother walked to the beat of his own drum. He could carry on a conversation in at least a dozen languages. His brain held a treasure trove of bad jokes, the kind that are so bad they're actually funny. He never met a person who didn't become an instant friend. He spent a lot of his free time at the library looking for something new to read, or learning about new places or languages. He loved really strong coffee. He went to Church with Mom every weekend. He had a great sense of humor and didn't mind when we pulled pranks on him. (See the Flour video on my Facebook if you want a laugh.)
Most importantly, he was a loving guy. He always made sure we knew he loved and appreciated us. And we loved him in return, so much. I don't know how I'll ever get over losing him.
We want to give Chris the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of his cremation and internment. We need to raise $3,500 by July 25th in order to be able to afford the service.
Once arrangements have been made, we will update this page.
