It is with great sadness that I write this, my aunt Christina Rodriguez, whom we all

knew as Nina, has unexpectedly passed away at the age of 49, after just celebrating her birthday on the 7th. Christina was diagnosed with Lupus at the age of 23 after giving birth to her second daughter, Caitlin. From then on, she fought a long and hard battle with the Lupus and thousands of doctor’s appointments and hospital visits throughout those years. With a weakened immune system due to the lupus, Christina was sick more often than most. Christina had not been feeling well for a few weeks and was admitted to the hospital on Monday, February 10th with an infection. From then, she quickly went downhill due to her infection which became septic and resulting in her needing to be intubated to try to give her body a rest to fight the infection. Intubation went well, but just a few hours later her body could not handle the stress of the infection that she was trying to fight off.

Christina was such a happy person and well known for her goofy personality and joking manner. Even on her bad days, you would never hear her complain and she always had a joke to crack. She is extraordinarily loved and will be deeply missed by so many. This gofundme is set up to help with funeral and burial proceedings and all donations will go to as such. Thank you and God bless.
