In Memory of Chris Putnam

On Tuesday, August 28th, we lost a great friend and colleague, Chris Putnam. Chris (Putty) leaves behind his wife, Julie, and their 15-year-old twins, Kaitlin and Ryan. 


To many of us, Chris was much more than just a colleague, he was a great leader, an excellent sounding board and always very quick to jump in and lend a hand during challenging times.  He shared with his family how much his work and coworkers meant to him, and how much he loved being at Cloudera!  


Chris’ family has been very strong throughout this time and have tremendous support through family and friends. We wanted to find out a way to support them in their future, in a way that Chris would feel strongly about, so we’d like to provide a means to contribute to Ryan and Kaitlin's future education.  


It’s always hard when you don’t get to tell someone how much they mean to you before it’s too late.  For many of us, that is, unfortunately, the case because Chris’ aggressive cancer brought his life to a close much too quickly.   Please feel free to share your thoughts, condolences, and donations here with his family.
