In Memory of Chris Hathaway

Chris, you may have loved me since I was born but I have loved you my whole life. You were my first friend, my greatest rival, and someone who loved me even when I did not love myself, you will always be my big brother.
With the deepest sorrow, I bring you the news that my dear brother Chris lost his life on April 25th, 2020 in British Columbia. His sudden passing has left our family unprepared for the costs associated with returning him to his home to our parents in New Brunswick, a small funeral and interment. We would appreciate your assistance with these costs.
As a truck driver, Chris met many people across Canada and having a big heart he cared about people in the purest way. He loved them for who they were and because he wanted the best for them, without guile and without asking anything in return. He knew how to listen; really listen to those he encountered, and he had a way of letting them know they could always call on him for anything.
A beloved son, brother, father, uncle and cousin he will be missed by so many but most certainly by the love of his life Bella. He left his pain behind, but he also left us all and we will never be the same again.
The world is a lesser place without you Chris but the memories you left us with will be treasured forever.
During this difficult time, we certainly do appreciate your donations, but we would also be thankful for any fond memories of Chris that you can share.
