In Loving Memory of Chris — An Education Fund for Stassi

In lieu of flowers, we are honoring Chris’s final wish: to create an education fund for his beloved granddaughter, Stassi. Over the past year and a half, Stassi became the brightest light in Chris’s life—his pride and joy. She brought him laughter, purpose, and an indescribable love he cherished deeply. While he wished more than anything to watch her grow up, we are committed to helping carry that dream forward in his honor.

Chris’s journey was not an easy one. From the age of 15, he faced life’s toughest battles—cancer, multiple sclerosis, and eventually, paralysis. And yet, through every hardship, he persevered with a strength, grace, and humor that inspired everyone who knew him. Despite his physical challenges, Chris lived a life marked by small joys and big love. He was an incredible husband, father, grandpa, and friend.

His heart belonged to Lake Michigan, the Detroit Tigers and Lions, and most of all—his family. Stassi brought him the kind of happiness that made the hard days easier and the good days even sweeter.
