Hello,

We are the children of Cheryl.

Anesha, Ka’vey, & Alonna.

We want to first start by saying thank you to everyone who has helped us during her healthcare journey, any one who came to visit, called, reached out, or sent prayers.

Our mother Cheryl suddenly made her transition into eternity, March 31st, at the growing age of 66.

She leaves behind 3 children & 5 grandchildren.

She was the strongest woman we know!

Very outspoken, very resilient, Always there to help or lend a testimony.

Always putting others before herself.

Background:

Cheryl had a stroke earlier this year shortly after she caught COVID causing her health to decline rapidly, weeks before her death.

Due to her illness she started having neurological issues that affected her brain. Which caused her to lose her regular functionality’s like walking, talking, and using the bathroom on her own.

We spent the last 3 months being our mothers at home care givers. We would split our time between the three of us, making sure her daily needs and expenses were taken care of.

Not being able to verbally communicate with her at all only made this even harder to comprehend.

This made it very hard for us to spend that last bit of quality time we needed with her.

Trying to grasp ahold of our last conversations so we won’t dont forget her voice!

In her last few days of life, she contracted sepsis in her lungs & succumbed to her condition.

She was witty, funny, loving, strong minded & very stubborn all the way up to her last breath. Most importantly she was a loved mother, sister, auntie & grandmother.

Together, we are currently in the process of making funeral arrangements.

Our intention for this fundraiser

Is to help raise funds to honor our mother with a proper burial & memorial.

What we will find most comforting to our family right now is to know we have an abundance of resources and support so that we can solely focus on grieving.
