My sister, Cherry (Tsai-Ling) Shen passed away in the hospital due to endometrial cancer on February 20, 2021, 9 days after being admitted to the ICU. Her passing was very sudden and it's still hard for us to believe she's gone.
Cherry was a beloved sister, best friend, girlfriend, and colleague to many people who've appreciated her wit, humour and occasional sarcasm. Cherry was vegan for years and was an advocate for sustainability. She had tried hard to persuade her family to eat less meat but she didn't succeed. We know how important it was for Cherry to do things that's good for the earth, so we want the entire death care process to be as eco-friendly as possible.
We'd like to raise a fund for Cherry, and part of the fund will be donated to the BC Cancer Agency in honor of Cherry. Your donations will help us immensely with arranging her funeral and other costs, especially since we are working with green cemeteries and a funeral home that offers sustainable death care services.

我的妹妹沈采霖 (Cherry) 因卵巢癌於2021年2月20日，入院後9天，在醫院過世。她的逝世對我們來說非常突然，我們仍然很難相信她已經走了。
Cherry是我們家摯愛的小妹，她也是一個最好的朋友，女友和同事。我們欣賞且記得她的精靈古怪，幽默和偶爾的嘲諷。 Cherry多年來吃純素，並倡導環保跟素食。她曾努力說服家人少吃肉，但沒有成功。做對地球有益的事情對於Cherry來說非常重要，因此我們希望辦她後事的過程盡可能地越環保越好。
我們想為Cherry籌集資金，而部分資金將以Cherry的名義捐贈給卑斯省癌症協會。您的捐款將極大地幫助我們處理她的後事。
