In Memory of Cherie Muro

On March 14, Cherie Muro, Aftercare & Napping House Assistant and long-time MPCS Parent, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep. Over the last four years, Cherie enjoyed working in the MPCS Aftercare program. As a strong presence for the kids, she was truly loved and respected. Cherie always took the time to listen to their stories and observed as they practiced their instruments. She was often seen swinging on the playground with the kids, sipping tea and playing games. Many of the children knew Cherie as a stable person that they could count on as she always showed up in a caring and encouraging way.

To her co-workers, Cherie was a good friend and enjoyable to work with. They relished their time working with the children and eating lunch together on Fridays. She loved to laugh, tell stories about her travels and adventures and was also a wonderful listener and supportive ally. Cherie had a beautiful spirit that will be missed every day.
