In Memory of Charly: Support for Alena and Chuck

Today, my sister, Alena and her husband, Chuck lost their baby girl Charlize Rose. Charly was a fighter from the start, spending months in the NICU. Once Charly was strong enough to go home with mom, dad and her big brother, Dante, she continued to progress and add joy to all of our lives. The day had finally come that we had all been dreading. On Thursday, August 8th, Charly went in for planned cardiac surgery to repair a congenital defect. Unfortunately, complications occurred in the following days.

Charly was surrounded by her family in a beautiful garden on the morning of August 12th when she became an angel. If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever. Charly would have turned 2 years old on September 30th. For years, Alena and Chuck tried and prayed so hard for a little girl, and they were blessed with Charly. Alena and Chuck went home today without their baby girl. To say this is devastating news is an understatement. No amount of money can take away their pain, but I can't even begin to imagine the expenses they will face in the near future. Any amount to help them get through this would be greatly appreciated by myself and my family.
