It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Joseph Lemaster, Sr., on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at the age of 58. Charles left this world surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy built on warmth, devotion, and the simple, enduring pleasures of a life well-lived. Charles lived a life full of love and laughter, and he found his meaning right here on Earth, in the people he cared about and the simple pleasures he enjoyed. For Suzette, his beloved wife, their bond was a steadfast anchor—a partnership that weathered every tide and celebrated every sunrise. The deep, lasting love they shared served as the foundation for the wonderful family they created.
He was a guiding force and cherished father to his daughters, Tiffany Lemaster, Stephany Nichols (Patrick), and Melaney Au(Byron), and his sons, Charles Lemaster Jr. (Brooke) and Chad Lemaster(Becca). In their eyes, and in the eyes of his grandchildren, RJ, Cora, Luna, Sterling and Clover, his memory will live on with every story shared, every piece of advice recalled, and every smile that mirrors his own. The joy Charles found in companionship extended to his siblings, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories. He is survived by his devoted brothers, Ted Lemaster(Melissa), Bobby Lemaster(Lisa) and Dave Foster (Robin); and his loving sisters, Joan McDonagh(Kevin), Della Glodek, and Helen Auld (Harry) and his twin sister, Brenda Foca (Nick). Charles is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss his presence greatly.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Lemaster; mother in law, Deanna Dodd; sister, Thelma Walker; brother in law, Robert Durden and brother, Virgil Lemaster.
Charles didn't need anything fancy to be happy. Charles sought his solace and greatest connection to the world in the quiet rituals of nature. Give him a fishing rod, a crab trap, and a cold drink and he was perfectly content. He was most at home on the water, patiently waiting for the tug on the line, experiencing a peacefulness that required no grand explanation—just the beauty of the moment. He was a true craftsman who loved to work with his hands. He found deep satisfaction in building and creating, often making things out of wood. Whether he was building and outdoor tiki bar or just fixing something around the house, he built a life just as sturdy and dependable as the things he created. These simple, tangible experiences grounded him and enriched his life immeasurably. They were a reminder that life's best things are often the most straightforward.
We believe Charles remains right here, in the vivid and powerful current of the lives he touched. His existence was a beautiful testament to the power of human connection, proving that a life filled with love, laughter, and the simple joy of being present is a life rich with meaning. In the vast, wondrous randomness of the universe, we were given the gift of Charles Joseph Lemaster, Sr. Though he is no longer physically with us, the indelible imprint of his love—his laughter, his guidance, his quiet strength—will continue to shape and comfort those he left behind.

The family is deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support, but they respectfully ask for privacy at this incredibly difficult time. While they appreciate your kind intentions, the family is taking a necessary break to mourn privately.
A gathering to celebrate Charles’s life will be held at American Legion-Pasadena Post 277 ( 7376 Carbide Rd, Baltimore MD 21226) on Sunday, November 9th from 1pm to 5pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend an extra hour fishing, or simply hold your loved ones close.
