In Memory Of Chantel Elizabeth Sardella-Santini
On July 26th 2020 Chantel unexpectedly passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 28, just days before her 29th birthday. Chantel was a developmental support worker who took great pride in her career. She was a gift to everyone she met in this life who cared for others before herself, even while struggling with severe anxiety and epilepsy, she was still a bright light for others. Chantel had a lust for life always putting her most positive foot forward in any situation. Her kindness not only reached all walks of life, but extended to animals, having left behind her two beloved rescues, a tea cup Yorkshire terrier, Mia, and a young healthy Husky, Akira. Chantel and her family loved to spend time in nature together, if not in the garden it was bike rides to hutch’s or walks to the fountain, where we would sneakily let Akira swim. With Chantel’s 30th birthday and 1 year memorial vastly approaching, I find myself still struggling to look at photos or videos of my beautiful daughter and best friend. I now realize Chantel is not coming back to us but forever resting in paradise. She may be physically gone but her kindness will always live on.
The money raised will go towards two city benches, one placed at the Stoney creek fountain and the other at hutch’s on the beach, both displaying words of kindness, in memory of our beautiful Chantel who’s Love was contagious. We are hoping these benches will inspire and allow all people to stop, rest and appreciate the beauty around them. Sometimes it only takes one act of kindness to change a persons life. Any remaining funds will go to the much needed continuing care of Mia and Akira, allowing them to get fixed and up to date on their immunizations. Rehoming Chantel’s beloved animals was not an option as I could not bare to part with anymore pieces of our Angel.
It was a privilege for anyone to have known Chantel. I will always be the proudest mother, knowing I raised the best daughter, sister, niece and friend anyone could of asked for.
Thank you for any and all support.
Please remember everyone you meet has their own struggle, always be kind to others.
