In Memory of Cathy Mross
Donation protected
One day everything can be pretty normal… And then suddenly, at the blink of an eye, your world can be turned upside down.
That’s what happened this holiday weekend, Hanna’s world was turned upside down. I’m organizing this for her benefit, my sweet niece, who lost her mom Cathy Mross, in a tragic (and suspicious) housefire that happened on Saturday 9/2/23. Cathy was already living a difficult life with health problems and financial struggles. What exactly happened to her on that day is still somewhat of a mystery and so heartbreaking. Sadly, her beloved puppy Rosie died with her. Hanna is an only child, with no living relatives on her mom’s side and just a couple relatives on her dad side that are local in NC. More than ever, Hanna needs her friends and family to help her at this time.
Right now there is a LOT of heartache, chaos and confusion, and seemingly LITTLE to no investigation going on, with the autopsy pending for days because of the holiday. A funeral service and celebration of life are also pending, and will cost out of pocket cash, as Cathy had no resources and Hanna is living paycheck to paycheck. At a heart-wrenching time like this, dealing with the trauma of the tragic loss of her mom, the last thing Hanna needs to stress about is work and money to pay for these additional costs when things are tight already.
During this time when we are all feeling very helpless, this is an opportunity for us friends and family to come together and support Hanna and help make a difference. If you will consider helping Hanna with any donation, it will be GREATLY appreciated and will undoubtedly go a long way to help fund funeral costs and possible legal costs as Hanna recovers from this.
Please keep Hanna in your prayers, and please help to share/circulate this to friends and family. Service arrangements will be communicated once we have the details.
Rest in Peace, Cathy (and Rosie)
7/13/69 - 9/2/23 (54 years young)
Thank you & God Bless
